My Journey with Movement as Healing
When I started my healing journey 20 years ago, yoga was the gateway for me.
Through yoga, I learned how to move my body and breathe in a way that brought me out of my head and into the present moment awareness. I began to feel my feelings and transform old stuck patterns from the inside out.
Attuning to my body and breath then allowed me to start sitting for longer periods of silent meditation which continued to bring insight and growth.
Since then, mindful movement has been an integral part of my health routine, and when the COVID pandemic hit in March 2020, Qigong saved me.
Feeling isolated and anxious about what was to come, I wanted a way to stay connected to the community, move my body, stay healthy and feel joyful despite all the uncertainty and horrific news of the time.
I started this online qigong and meditation group and we met daily for that first year. Through that regular practice I was able to see for myself in a deeper way than ever before, the real benefits of a consistent qigong and meditation practice.
What I have discovered through this practice is how infinitely intelligent my body is. And, when I can quiet my mind, I experience an increased sense of calm, groundedness throughout my day. I have more awareness of the sensations, energy and emotions flowing through my body. I feel healthier and in balance, mentally, physically and spiritually.
If you want to learn to hear the messages your body is sending you, experience your feelings more directly so you can respond instead of react to them, I invite you to join me in this group.
